From Walhalla, South Carolina. From the intersection of SC-183, head west on SC-28 for 8.1 miles and turn right onto SC-107. Drive 12.4 miles and park on the right side of the road near a forest road. Do not block!

From Salem, South Carolina. From the intersection of SC-11, head north on SC-130 for 9.4 miles and turn left onto Wigington Road. Drive 2.2 miles and turn left onto SC-107. Drive 1.6 miles and park on the left side of the road at a forest road. Do not block!

From Cashiers, North Carolina. From the intersection of US-64, head south on NC-107 for 8.2 miles to the NC/SC border, where NC-107 turns into SC-107. Continue following SC-107 for 2.7 miles and park on the left side of the road at a forest road. Do not block!

If you have 4WD vehicle with high ground clearance you can drive down the forest road for 1.36 miles to an area where you can park and cut down on the hiking. It’s a pretty rough road, so be prepared for a bumpy ride and there’s only a few spots that you can turn around at. Its probably best to bring a chainsaw in case a tree has fell across the road.

Hiking Directions

From the parking. Follow the old road down for 1.24 miles and go right at the fork (was flagged last time i was there.) Go another 0.5 mile, passing a 3 way intersection, you’ll come to a T section. Go right going over a dirt mound and up the hill (also flagged.) In a little over 500 feet the trail will go left with another faint trail going right (lots of flags.) Take the faint trail downhill, continue down the faint trail for another 500+ feet and head left down the steep hill (flagged.) Follow the faint path down and head right to the sound of falling water. Use caution here as you’ll be at the top of a waterfall!
