Overview
Reedy Branch Falls is also know as Burson or Burson’s Falls, which receives its name from the previous owners of the land Kenneth Louis Burson and Claire Lee Burson.
Driving Directions
From Walhalla, South Carolina. From the intersection of SC-183, head west on SC-28 for 6.1 miles and turn left onto Whetstone Road. Drive 0.7 miles and turn left onto Cassidy Bridge Road. Drive 7.4 miles and turn left onto Academy Road. Drive 0.3 mile and turn right onto Raines Road. Drive 1.6 miles and turn right onto US-76. Drive 1 mile and turn left onto an unmarked gravel road (Burson Road) that has a stacked stone wall and metal gate. Park without blocking the gate!
From Westminster, South Carolina. From the intersection of US-123 and US-76, head north on US-76 for 15.7 miles and turn left onto an unmarked gravel road (Burson Road) that has a stacked stone wall and metal gate. Park without blocking the gate!
From Clayton, Georgia. From the intersection of US-441, head east on US-76 for 9.9 miles and turn right onto an unmarked gravel road (Burson Road) that has a stacked stone wall and metal gate. Park without blocking the gate!
Hiking Directions
From the parking. Head around the metal gate and follow the gravel road downhill for 680+ feet to a small stream, which is Reedy Branch and what used to be a bridge crossing. Head left onto a dirt path trail and follow the trail a short distance to a wooden bridge going across the small stream. Once across the stream go a short distance and head left at an intersection and follow the trail a short distance to the waterfall.
