Understanding Waterfall Listings
Overview
Norman (Norm) John Arnold discovered Hidden Falls in the early 1990s and initially requested that the waterfall be named after him. However, the United States Board on Geographic Names rejected the proposal, as natural features cannot be named after living individuals. Consequently, he chose the name Hidden Falls, which became the official name in July of 1995.
